The Stacks – Stacking Up in Florida!

The Stacks – Stacking Up in Florida! by: Ruby Kuzma This first photo is of our booth lit up about 9 pm. By this point, we had been there a while and had met a number of very wonderful people. I wanted this to be the first photo as it is the best shot of the booth. The choice to put the banner in the front was to have it seen as we had been placed at the very end of the street. But it seemed to be a good choice as I moved my chair to the front so I could stay in view and easil

The Stacks – Queens Cleans Up the Ring!

On Easter weekend, the Queens Chapter of The Stacks headed to Newark to work with our partners at The Mission Continues — Newark for a service mission. The job for the day was to work on cleaning up and setting up the Ironbound Boxing Academy, which serves the local community. The Academy is built under the old Ironbound Stadium which, while closed since 1987, is being prepared for its own restoration. There was a lot of garbage piled in rooms underneath the stadium, which ha

Stack-Up’s “Live Fire” Event at Wounded Warrior Project HQ

The Stack-Up team had the opportunity to do one of our Live Fire events with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)Headquarters in Florida to show them just what Stack-Up is all about, and we had an amazing turnout. People drove from hours away to attend the Jacksonville event; many of them had been WWP Alums for awhile, but the opportunity to try Oculus Rift virtual reality as well as play some of the latest and greatest as far as console gaming goes was too much of a siren call for

    stacking dirt seattle stack volunteers

It was a cold dreary morning on February 28th, the rain constantly beating against the dirt as the sound of shovels filled the air. Joshua “Fumbles” Fulmer, North West Regional Director, walked through the mud with his brother-in-law Matt to find the volunteers already deep in the woods. The idea for the morning: fix up one of the favorite trails that Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance 501(c)3 maintains within their Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park in Issaquah, WA. Matt, who does
