State of Decay 2 – The Good, the Bad, and the Undead

When I first played the original State of Decay from Undead Labs, I was immediately hooked on its amazingly clever fusion of zombie slaying action and base building survival. Plenty of other games feature these same mechanics, but not quite in the same way. Controlling a full group of survivors instead of the lone-wolf made for quite a refreshing and engaging experience. Though I enjoyed my time with the original State of Decay, something was missing. This was an experience t

They Are Billions – Defend Your Base…While You Can

The first game I played of They Are Billions from Numantian Games, it quickly showed me how woefully unprepared I was for this new type of gameplay experience. Sure They Are Billions looks and for the most part, plays like your standard Real Time Strategy game. All the familiar trappings are present, base building, resource gathering, micromanagement of units, all play a part in the game and those who have put any time into games like StarCraft will be right at home. However

World War Z – New First-Person Shooter Coming in 2018

One of the biggest surprise announcements coming out of PlayStation Experience was the collaboration between international video game studios Saber Interactive, and Paramount Pictures, the studio that brought you movies like Interstellar, Iron Man, Forrest Gump, and the Transformers Series. Coming in 2018, Saber Interactive and Paramount Pictures are releasing World War Z, a co-op first-person shooter based on the book and movie of the same name. The game will be a co-op shoo

The Walking Dead: All Out War – Mantic Games Brings Zombie Chaos to PAX Unplugged

Danger, luck, risk, and the desperation of survival are all traits that can be found in the long-running franchise, The Walking Dead. The franchise, which originally started as a graphic novel in 2003 by Robert Kirkman, exploded in popularity with the creation of a long-running series on AMC. The series, which is currently in its eighth season, lead to the creation of a series of video games from Telltale Games, as well as mobile games such as The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land.

walking dead new frontier ep 1 2 review

The Walking Dead, Season 3: The New Frontier, Episodes 1 and 2 Telltale Games has been grinding out content for years now.  They found a formula with the original The Walking Dead series that won them dozens upon dozens of Game of the Year awards in 2012. Since then, Telltale has banged out approximately 716 games with the exact same formula in place: stylized, cartoony art direction painting a normally bleak story-driven campaign, forcing you to make life and death decisions

the final station is this the end

When I first played and reviewed the Alpha version of The Final Station, I had allot of fun. Who wouldn’t have though when it comes to zombies and guns? Needless to say, I was beyond excited when I was given the chance to do a review on their beta. When I tried out the alpha from Tiny Build, I was basically thrown into the action of things (what appeared to be a post-apocalyptic world) with little to no idea what was going on other than these black zombie-like creatures comin

    breach and clear deadline

Breach And Clear: Deadline, the sequel to 2014’s Breach and Clear, was released last year on Steam platforms. One year later, after much popularity and critical acclaim, the game has finally made its way to PlayStation 4. First released in 2014, in an absence of tactical military video games, Breach & Clear invited players into the world of unconventional special operations. As a turn-based tactical strategy game, players name, and outfit their squad with the latest gear, the

the final station arrives august 20th

Tiny Build Studios is making their presence onto the PlayStation 4 well known. Having a history of making incredibly unique games on Valve’s Steam platform, Tiny Build has brought over games, such as Party Hard, Lovely Planet, No Time To Explain, over to the platform, to critical and commercial acclaim. Earlier today, Tiny Build Studio announced the release date for their newest game, The Final Station, a highly anticipated action and survival game pitting you in a precarious

the final station zombies on a train

I’m going to be honest here, I usually don’t care for shooting games, but only because I don’t feel like I am particularly good at them. That being said, I spent literal hours playing The Final Station last night. I started by watching the Announcement Trailer and I must say that the people over at tinyBuild did an amazing job piquing my interest. We are shown a train racing through what is certain to be a post-apocalyptic world filled with dilapidated buildings and dark figu

deadrising 4 leaked posters gameplay images shown

DeadRising’s been a steady Capcom franchise in the last decade, starting as a huge, sprawling example of what the Xbox 360 could do. Looking back, it’s a little more dated than we’d like to imagine, but the series has pressed on. It’s been reported that DeadRising 4 has some exclusivity deal going for it. Given that most of its predecessors have a history with Microsoft and Xbox, it’s not a stretch to see this game hit Xbox Ones and PCs in the near future. Source: This Gen Ga
