The Stacks – Austin Stacks Up with SideQuest!

On June 16th, 2017 the Austin Chapter of The Stacks and our charity network partner SideQuest teamed up for a tabletop gaming event at Dragon’s Lair in Austin, TX. Several people from SideQuest including a producer from Rooster Teeth were in attendance. We brought some of the board/card games that were donated to us at PAX South for this event. We played Dumpster Brawl, Lords of Rock and Thrash Car; and invited other players at the venue to come sit and play them with us.

We met the owner/founder of a convention in Austin that runs Board Game Bash, an Austin Texas board game convention, and since we had a large quantity of remaining board games we donated some to them. In return, they are making us an official sponsor and will write about us via their blog. They were excited to hear about what we do even though they are not involved in video games.

The event actually ran a little longer because we were all having such a good time that we lost track of how late it had gotten. The SideQuest team loved it and we are looking forward to doing more joint events over the coming months. Dragon’s Lair also took a stack of Stack-Up information cards and will post them throughout the store.

If you want to get involved with The Stacks and are in the Austin area check them out HERE! Not in Austin, not to worry we have chapters of The Stacks all around the globe. Take a look HERE and see how you can get involved!
