Call to Arms X PC Vetrofit Crate - Alan

When we put out our PC Vetrofit request form seeking recipients for the 10 PCs we would be sending out as part of our 10th birthday celebration, we knew we would see plenty of stories from Veterans who have dealt with some tough events in life. In Alan's case, he lost his PC setup to a fire.

I have been in the US Army for 13 years. Spent twelve years on the reserves side and then finally switched over to AGR in 2024. I have deployed twice once In 2015 and once in 2019. During my 2019 deployment I received a call at 0230 local time to where I was deployed stating that my apartment had caught on fire. I was an avid gamer and I still am but that fire in 2019 took everything that I used for gaming and destroyed my computer and my entire setup.

This is not the first time Stack Up has received a request for a new console or PC because of a fire. We've actually fulfilled a handful of these kinds of requests and we get how devastating it is to lose something that brings a person some joy and relief to something so out of our hands. In Alan's case, we wanted to help him get some part of that gaming set up back so we knew we had to help him out with a new PC.

First off I just want to say thank you again for the selection for this gaming PC. This allows me to once again be able to game. But this will also serve as a computer for myself and my family. It also enables me to be able to work on my gaming community on discord that I wanted to create prior to the fire centered around giving veterans a place where they can link up with friends and game together and create a community.

As part of our Call to Arms LIVE event we had 10 streamers join live in Los Angeles for a special all day celebration event and competition. During the event, these streamers played on the PCs we sent out to Veterans like Alan and signed them before we sent them out. Alan's PC was tested out by MadVikingKing who also read out the request while live fundraising.
