Supply Crate – TEMPERED STEEL 3

We check in with another recent Supply Crate that was sent out to help a Marine reconnect with a battle buddy. The request comes to us from Frank who after being deployed is going through a rough patch readjusting to civilian life. Check out the request below…

I served in the Marine Corps and deployed twice to Afghanistan. The first deployment I was with CLB-8 (’09-’10) we built up fire bases and FOBs out in the Helmand province. I did not see much action but learned from my experiences over there. My second deployment was with CLB-2 (’10-’11). We were focused on performing missions in direct support of 3/5 in the Sangin River Valley.

I have trouble sleeping at night. A friend of mine suggested I get a game system to keep in touch with him online and we would be able to play together. The only issue is I cannot afford to spend money on myself. Things are tight and as many of you may know it’s not all sunshine and rainbows in the civilian world.

I know it’s a long shot, but this seems like a good thing for me to get into. Unfortunately, I just can’t afford one myself.

We here at Stack-Up certainly agree with Frank’s friend that some gaming just might do the trick! The best thing is, is that due to our Supply Crate program and thanks to the support of amazing donors and Call to Arms streamers like Tim Havlock (@Darkness429) it won’t cost Frank a cent.

We packed up a fantastic Supply Crate full of the latest gaming goodness and sent it on to Frank. When he received it, he took the time to write us some words of thanks and sent back these excellent photos.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this unbelievable gift. This is one of the nicest things that has happened to me, and I can’t tell you enough what it means.

My luck has been pretty bad lately, and this was delivered at the perfect time! God bless all of you at Stack-Up and Semper Fi!

Thank you, Frank, for your service! We hope that the gaming helps you reconnect with friends and brings you a bit of “sunshine and rainbows.

If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
