Stack Up recently hosted a couple of Air Assaults at Phalanx House! We were thrilled to finally take a couple of Veterans and an Active Duty servicemember from the Royal Canadian Air Force on an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles. It was our first trip of 2025, and we enjoyed bringing folks out to our headquarters, where we can show them a good time while providing fun accommodations at Phalanx.

Another cool detail about this trip is that the trip sponsor, Angry Vet joined us in person so he could check out Phalanx House and what we do when we bring folks out for the experience. As a Veteran, he himself would qualify for our programs, but he's been putting efforts into raising funds to support other Veterans. So that's the trip sponsor, and a member of an Allied force that joined us at Phalanx, along with Bio19k, who has been to Phalanx before but did not get a chance to check out LA Stack Up style.

Brenna | PixelDee | Royal Canadian Air Force | Active Duty

Hi there! I'm Brenna, or PixelDee (online). I am a Royal Canadian Air Force Service member (currently serving; however, I will be medically released in the next two years) and have been in service for 13 years. I would adore to be a part of the Air Assault Trip as it would provide an opportunity for me to walk amongst my siblings in arms as the Canadians and Americans work extremely close together. I've lived in Colorado Springs, CO, where my dad, who is also military, worked at Peterson AFB, and I went to highschool there. His work in Colorado inspired me to join 13 years ago; however, a lot has happened since then, 25% positive, 75% negative, and it has caused a severe detriment to my mental health, hence the medical release.

I’ve visited the house but was never able to explore the many attractions that La has to offer,I recently got out of service, and during my time in California NTC, the phalanx house was my escape from the stress and isolation I had to deal with.

Good thing we know some good local attractions in Los Angeles to check out. We made sure to bring our Air Assaults out to Disney, Hollywood, La Brea, Carney's and plenty more spots. They also hung out at the house and played games and did other activities as available at Phalanx.

We're glad we could bring Bio19k and PixelDee with their sponsor Angry Vet joining them for this trip as he could directly receive the signed Stack Up guidon we usually send to Air Assault sponsors.

While Bio19k sent us a short but sweet review, we have yet to receive one from PixelDee, but based on the amount of photos she took, she had a good time. Thank you to her and the rest of the folks who were on this trip for taking so many great photos for us to share!

Possibly the best experience I’ve had in a long time
