Army Veteran Joseph has been suffering from his PTSD and other mental and physical health problems since retiring from service. He requested a Supply Crate after his neurologist recommended gaming as a way to connect with other Veterans and help with his mental health.

I am a retired Army Veteran. I am currently suffering from PTSD, TBI, depression and several physical injuries making some of the outdoor activities I used to enjoy difficult. I have been in a dark place many times over the past few years. I was sent to a TBI treatment facility last year to help with some of my brain function. My neurologist there recommended I start gaming to help connect with other Veterans and stimulate more brain activity. I recently attended a veteran event and was told about this program and how it has helped him connect with others and also helped him therapeutically. I would really appreciate the opportunity to benefit from this program.

It's great to see medical professionals recognize the benefits of gaming! From helping him connect to other Veterans through gaming to giving his mind something to do to distract from distressing thoughts, gaming can offer plenty.

We sent him a new PS5 with the hopes that it will help.

I did receive it. I just got back into town. Attached are the photos I took. Thank you again.

Thank you very much, Joseph.

NecroticPlague sponsored Joseph's Supply Crate. NecroticPlague is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who understands how much gaming can help other Veterans. He's recently played games such as Cyberpunk 2077, RV There Yet, Tabletop Simulator, and more!
