Army Veteran Guy requested a Supply Crate because he's had difficulty getting out and about due to his anxiety and PTSD and a new PlayStation 5 is a hard get on his fixed income.
I'm just a Shut-In Combat Veteran with Agoraphobia, PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression, I fight with near Constant nightmares and Suicidal thoughts, Gaming and Shows/TV is the only escape from this I have. But due to having so many Children (not a complaint, but a Fact) and the Constant Stream of Bills and the low pay of Disability I can rarely afford a new game let alone a Console to play my Favorite Final Fantasy Franchise, I recently gave my PS4 to my children so all I have is my PC. I haven't been able to Play the New FF7 remakes because they are expensive and Require a PS5, so I thought I'd Shoot my Shot and see If Maybe You Guys could help me with my Escapism Therapy and Maybe toss me a Used PS5 and Hook me up with the Two New Final Fantasy Remake Games. I mean it's worth a Shot yea?
Lots of Veterans are on fixed incomes and have difficulty working because of their disabilities. The fixed income of VA compensation is often enough to cover bills and rent or mortgages, but rarely enough to get much more than that. Which is part of the reason we are here. We understand the struggle here at Stack Up and getting to help Veterans like Guy makes our day.
Receiving a PS5 from Stack Up will have a real and meaningful impact on my recovery from combat-related PTSD. Life after the Army hasn’t been easy, and there are days when the weight of what I experienced feels overwhelming. Gaming gives me something steady to hold onto during those moments. It helps quiet my mind, pull me out of intrusive thoughts, and gives me a healthy escape when my symptoms spike. When I’m focused on a game, my anxiety eases, my hypervigilance drops, and for a while I can just breathe.
Beyond the distraction, the PS5 helps me reconnect with a sense of enjoyment and normalcy that PTSD often takes away. It gives me structure on hard days and something positive to look forward to when motivation is low. Multiplayer games also help me feel less isolated by allowing me to connect with others who share similar interests, including fellow veterans. This gift isn’t just entertainment—it’s a tool that supports my mental health and reminds me that I’m not fighting this battle alone. I’m deeply grateful to Stack Up and their Donors for supporting veterans like me on the long road to recovery.
Thanks, Guy for the great reply. We hope you can enjoy plenty of gaming and that the new console will help you on the rough days.
