Supply Crate – Dale

Dale is serving in the Navy and had to take over leadership of a work center of Aviation Electronics Technicians, despite being an Aviation Ordnanceman, a different rating who is trained in a whole different type of work. When he took over, he noticed low morale among the sailors in the work center and decided to do something about it.

I have recently taken over a work center for a Chief that had to be flown off due to medical issues. They are AO's while i am an AT. i cant really help them with their work but i try to help in any way i can. Their morale was pretty low. They had no place to relax, so i put a beat up old couch in the gun shop in a corner where they dont work. next i added an old tv with a built in dvd player. they were really happy. one guy has a playstation that they had been trying to play but if they dont get off work earlier enough someone else would always have the tv in the berthing occupied. no with the lounge they can play without rushing after work. i know they play an nba game but i was hoping to get something they can use a workcenter system to help raise morale.

We love a leader who notices low morale and puts in the effort to correct. Those long days on Navy vessels get old fast, especially when struggling to pass the time. Video games are great for ships as they're compact and allow sailors to play together and have fun thus making time pass quicker.
