Without the wonderful people who dedicated a few hours a week to support our programs, we could not keep growing and helping all the troops and Veterans we can. I play whatever floats the boat that day. Lately, it has been Valorant on stream, but it has also been FIFA, or even Minecraft, and the new Tiny Tina game.

Stacks: not enough resources in my state for Veterans. StOP: I don’t want people to feel as alone as I did when I was going through a lot.

The stacks give people a common and fun interest in common. It allows people from all walks of life to come together in a meaningful and healing way that also benefits local communities.

I volunteer because no one should go through it alone. The stigma that surrounds mental health makes people believe that there is something wrong with them when it simply isn’t the case. It’s more common than one can imagine, and there are people and resources that can help.

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
Started off as a Memorial Day charity streamathon back in 2018, then saw the need for a Stack in my area and felt it was something I could really jive with. As far as writing goes, I've always enjoyed writing but never really found a good reason. Stack Up posted up looking for ttrpg reviewers, and tabletop games are my bread n butter, so it all seemed to line up.

For Stacks Volunteers: What's something you enjoyed doing with the Stacks? Why should folks join or start a local Stack? We at least meet monthly for D&D games as those have been the crowd favorite. I love running D&D, and our Stack enjoys playing. We've been able to hold consistent events and are only moving forward with things and trying to grow.
For StOP Volunteers: Why volunteer to support someone else's mental health? Is there a memorable good interaction you've had?
I'm not a member of StOP, but I can attest firsthand how helpful they can be. They've been there for me on a moment's notice on multiple occasions.

Same as above - I enjoy writing, I love tabletop games, and there was a need!

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
The purpose and mission. As a gamer and Veteran, I have been through some struggles myself. Gaming, especially with friends, has always been an outlet. Some people go to the bar with friends. I would rather have a beer in one hand and my mouse in the other. Gaming is a part of me as much as being a Veteran is and this organization speaks both of my languages.

Central Pennsylvania.
For our Stream Team members: What kinds of games do you play on stream, and what schedule are you usually on? What made you want to join the Stream Team?
I mainly play shooters. Escape from Tarkov, Hunt Showdown, The Division, and Fortnite. I also like Rocket League and Lost Ark. My current schedule is M & W from 8-11 and Sunday from 7-9 on Stack Up. I joined the stream team because I believe in the mission and purpose of this organization. Gaming got me through some tough times, and I want to be here to help others as well. As casual gamer and streamer, this was a perfect match.

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
I was a recipient of a supply drop when I was unable to get a gaming console. I am wanting to give back to the organization. I stream on Twitch so making video content and streaming on Twitch for the org just seemed like a great fit.

I am a FPS/RPG/TCG streamer. I haven't set a schedule as of yet. It will be a 3-day stream schedule to allow me time to make video content as well.

I make walkthroughs, loadout guides, and game reviews. I already make Tiktok content to promote myself and my Twitch.

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
As a Veteran who has spent some time in theatre without any MWR or games. When I first learned about Stack Up, I thought it was exactly what I was looking for. A way for me to give back and enjoy some games.

I live in Troy, Ohio, but I am a co-lead of the Dayton, Ohio chapter.
For Game Leads: What games do you like to play for your game nights? What is a memorable game night moment you've had?
First time I DM'd for Stack Up. Someone couldn't show up, and I jumped in and helped out with just 30 minutes to get prepared.

I enjoy being able to share the adventures with the people of the Stack. They should join because it is a way to have fun and help with Military and Veterans.

My grandfather was a Veteran, and I wish to help others and help others in his name as a way to remember him.

For StOP Volunteers: Why volunteer to support someone else's mental health? Is there a memorable good interaction you've had?
I'm still in training, but I wanted to volunteer to support people's mental health because I'm a big advocate of it. I myself suffer with issues like ADHD, Autism, severe depression, etc. And I love what Stack Up does and being able to support others with similar issues to mine.

As I am currently Active Duty and Enjoy gaming, the mission of StackUp was something I could easily stand behind! So much so I am more than willing to give my free time to support.

I enjoyed very much being a part of volunteer opportunities with my local stack group and getting together in person to support the charity.
For our Stream Team members: What kinds of games do you play on stream, and what schedule are you usually on? What made you want to join the Stream Team?
I generally stream online FPS games such as Valorant, The Cycle: Frontier, COD, and I also have interest in games like New World! I joined the Stack Up stream team because I enjoy streaming when my life allows me to, so streaming for Stack Up was a no-brainer and gives me purpose to continue my streaming journey.

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
I started with Stack Up around 3 years ago. A friend found them using the Combined Federal Campaign, and we started talking to staff to establish a Stack at Holloway Air Force Base. Their mission is something I strongly believe in, and they have some of the best people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.

For Stacks Volunteers: What's something you enjoyed doing with the Stacks? Why should folks join or start a local Stack?
Our local game nights are a great way to interact with the young service members around the base, as well as getting families together outside of a professional environment and just have fun!

Mostly because I'd love to help out in any way possible. Since I'm really busy with all sorts of things in my life this seemed like the most fitting program to volunteer in. And it's a lot of fun to do.

For Game Leads: What games do you like to play for your game nights? What is a memorable game night moment you've had?
My favorite games to play on game nights are R6 Siege, GR Breakpoint, and Division 2 due to the teamwork and teamplay in those games. A couple of funny and memorable moments from these game nights have also been shown in montages on the Stack Up socials shared by Sahara. One of them, for instance, was me, LunaticSheep, and Sahara jumping around with a vehicle on Apex Legends, which was really funny and a lot of fun.

What made you want to volunteer with Stack Up? Why the program you volunteer with?
My son found out about StackUp from a callout in a BeckBroJack video, and when he said, "Mama, you should check this out! Maybe you can talk to some of your friends from the military!" I had to go look. When I read about StOP, I realized it was the perfect fit for the kind of volunteering I'd been wanting to do.

At the heart of it, I like connecting with people. I like also knowing that someone's there when someone out there really needs to talk.

The care and love for my brothers and sisters that have served and are still serving in our and Allied Militaries. I am an enthusiast when it comes to PCs and when PCVR came out on the original HTC Vive in 2016-17, I pick one up and have been streaming and doing videos with my VR headset since. I wanted to bring this experience to my brothers and sisters to help them get away from life for a while, and VR can do that...

One memorable night I’ve had was when we were playing tabletopia, and the chat room was full of people wanting to see what tabletopia was about and play a round of what was being played.

Just having a Call to Arms drive wasn't being involved enough for me. I saw there was a Stream Team and had to be in it. I really want to be a member of the StOP team at some point.

I will typically be seen playing Battle Royales. My slot is Saturdays 1-3 AM. Come join me for some late-night shenanigans! I really looked up to Dr. Lupo raising millions for St. Jude. I wanted to get behind a charity that I would care that much for and something that aligned with what I love. Stack Up was the perfect charity, and I figured I'd give it a shot
