A Quake sequel seemed inevitable after the aforementioned id hits with Quake Champions. The reviewers are not wrong; Doom is pretty damn amazing. I grabbed a copy of Doom from my local Redbox rental kiosk, expecting to have it back within 24 hours. Not so much.
