Marine Corps Veteran Raphael submitted a Supply Crate request to us in the hopes of receiving a new game console so he could connect with his kids as his injuries from service make it difficult for him to engage in some activities with them.

I am a combat wounded veteran who has endured severe injuries due to a 100 lbs IED blast/ vehicle rollover that have forever changed my life. During my service, I sustained multiple injuries that left me wheelchair-bound, including a traumatic brain injury, damage to my spine, nerves, and lower body. The physical toll of these injuries has been immense, requiring countless surgeries, ongoing therapy, and daily challenges to manage pain and mobility. While I am incredibly grateful to be here today, these injuries have reshaped how I live my life and engage with my family. ------As a father of four (three boys one girl), my family is my greatest source of strength, joy, and purpose. However, the limitations of my injuries often make it difficult to participate in activities that most families take for granted. Simple outings or bonding activities that involve movement are often not an option for us. A Supply Crate from Stack Up would truly be a blessing because it would provide us with a new way to bond and create lasting memories together. Gaming has become one of the few ways I can fully engage with my kids, connect with them on their level, and share laughter and teamwork without being limited by my physical disabilities. ------Beyond my family, I believe my story reflects resilience and the determination to adapt despite overwhelming challenges. Receiving a Supply Crate would not only help me personally but would also allow me to show my children the importance of finding joy and connection even in tough times. It would create a much-needed positive outlet for our family, where we could come together, have fun, and strengthen our relationships. ------I would be deeply honored to receive this support from Stack Up. It would have a meaningful impact not just on me as a disabled veteran but on my entire family, creating opportunities for us to bond, laugh, and share moments we will treasure forever. Thank you for considering our story and for the incredible work you do to support veterans like me.

We're glad Raphael continues to be here with us, with everything he's been through. We hope that by sending him a new Nintendo Switch, he'll not only be able to enjoy time with his children, but take it with him when he's undergoing therapy and pain management. It's a great way to pass the time at the doctor's office. After Raphael received his Supply Crate, he sent us a reply.

Hi Brian,
I just received the gear, and I can’t thank you enough. I’ll be sending over a few pictures shortly, including one with the streamer thank-you sheet, as requested.
As a combat-wounded, wheelchair-bound disabled veteran, life at home can often be isolating. I live with limited mobility and am homebound, which makes it difficult to stay connected and engaged—not just with the outside world, but even within my own home at times.
That’s why this gift means so much. The Nintendo Switch is more than a piece of tech, it’s a tool for connection, joy, and healing. With four kids and a loving wife, it’s not always easy to find activities we can all enjoy together, especially ones that I can fully participate in. This system creates that opportunity. It brings laughter, fun, and bonding back into our daily lives right from our living room.
Stack Up has reminded me that even though I can’t always go out into the world, there are still ways to enjoy life, to share meaningful moments with my family, and to feel seen and supported. Your donors are making a real difference in homes like mine, and I hope these photos and words help show just how much that means.
With heartfelt thanks,
Raphael
Combat-Wounded Veteran
Husband and Father of Four

May the new Switch bring you plenty of fun and joy, Raphael.
