Greetings! --- --- My name is Kasey Brown and I'm the Peer Service Coordinator for the Military Veteran Peer Network here in Denton Texas. I run a Veteran center called Veterans Point where we assist Vets and their family members in a variety of ways, with peer support as our foundation. --- --- We have a computer lab, weight room, art room, reading room, resource room, and a media room which currently only has a DVD player. We facilitate peer groups, outings, and large camaraderie events, in the hopes to decrease Veteran isolation, ultimately reducing Veteran suicide. --- --- I have seen an increase in Veterans wanting to play video games, as a way to reduce symptoms of PTSD and depression. However we have a very limited annual budget. I heard about your program through a counterpart of mine, and figured I would reach out. No further discussion is needed beyond, which console should we send you? Veterans are increasingly playing video games as younger generations enter and exit the Military. As such, giving them something they enjoy on the regular is a great way to keep our Veterans together.
