Supply Crate – Linda

Linda requested a Supply Crate to give herself and her family something they could do together, especially after losing a lot of personal items after a tornado in 2022.

I am a 10 year U.S. Army Combat Veteran with a 100 Percent P/T Va rating. I am married with 6 children at home that are ages 8, 10. 13. 14. 16 and 19. In April of 2022 our house was damaged by a tornado which left us displaced for about 9 months. We also lost a lot of personal items as well. We are finally moved back into our home and are still trying to get back to normalcy. I am diagnosed with PTSD at a 70 percent rating and I have experienced an increase in symptoms because my family and I were home when the tornado happened. I also feel like my children have been mentally impacted by the experience as well. Gaming is an outlet for my family and if this request is chosen, will have a great impact on being able to spend more quality time and giving me something to do at night when I have trouble sleeping.

That's quite a lot of children. We're sorry that Linda experienced a tornado and lost some possessions in the process, but we hope she and her family are doing much better now. With a new game console, we also hope she'll find comfort from her anxieties.
