Supply Crate – Heroes Call 3

We check in with another amazing Supply Crate shipment. This one was sent downrange to Mathew runs a Veterans Services Center. He wanted to help his folks get into gaming and you can read the full request below:

I am the current President of the Cal Veterans Group. Our Veterans Services Center recently received a 70″ television to wall mount. I immediately began trying to acquire gaming equipment as a tool to get veterans out of isolation and into a community where they can have fun gaming against one another.

We have other sporting events, but not all veterans enjoy those or can physically participate. I know this will work to bring veterans together and reduce the stress associated with the rigors of Berkeley and college in general. An example of which we will utilize this equipment is gaming nights in the vet center. We will organize bi-weekly game nights in which veterans and their families can utilize the systems in a sober and supportive environment.
The veterans have enjoyed the board game nights that we have put on in the past and have often asked if the center could get gaming equipment. I would be truly grateful as would the rest of my fellow veterans attending UC Berkeley.

Of course, we at Stack Up were only too happy to oblige. We went to work doing what we do best, packing a crate of the latest gaming goodies.

Once we packed up a console complete with some amazing games we sent it on downrange to Mathew who was kind enough to send back some words of thanks and these great pics, after they got the TV up and running!!

First Email: Yes, we received it. Thank you so much. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to utilize the equipment because our facilities department has not yet mounted our new TV. Thank you for your support of our Veterans.

Second email: Thank you so much for the games and systems. Here are a couple of photos.

Thank you, Matt we hope the games go a long way to building camaraderie among the veterans that use your center.

If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
