Marine Corps Veteran Douglas requested a Supply Crate so he could game and connect with his daughter while coping with his PTSD, as he told us in his request.

I have a permanently disabled veteran that has always had a love for gaming, but this would something nice to have with my daughter. She’s always wanted loves gaming and it’s like an escape for the PTSD. We have created a safe space where fun could last and create fun gaming memories. It’s around a time that would help as I can’t afford much and would give us a chance to grow our bond.

If there's one thing we're glad to help Veterans with, it's connecting with their family members through the power of gaming. PTSD can impact interactions and relationships with family, so having a neutral way to connect and bond can help.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to donate, support, and give my family and friends a chance to have such a strong connection. PTSD and disabilities have impacted my day-to-day life, but with this gear I get the chance to immerse myself in gaming. I also received card games, reading material, and even an assassin creed cane. I am truly grateful as this gives me the chance to not feel alone in the world. This will give us laughter, excitement, and interconnected experiences that create major memories to support a permanently disabled veteran.

Thank you, Douglas, for reaching out and for your response! We hope the new PS5 will help you add some good memories.

CoopersCharms sponsored Douglas' Supply Crate. CoopersCharms is a Horror game streamer who plays a ton of Phasmophobia. She's just the streamer to check out as we move into the fall season. Phasmophobia can be a lot of fun to watch and participate in, so check her out on Twitch.

We're getting closer and closer to November! Which means our Call to Arms X event is on the horizon, as is Veterans Day. We need every bit of support we can get to fundraise, share and donate to support our programs. Help us out and show your support for Veterans mental health through gaming by hitting the button below and learning more about fundraising with Stack Up.
