Make great choices, and if you have the opportunity to use technology to make the world just the tiniest bit better, do it. Which is kind of what we do here! Today's Supply Crate update comes from Chris, a Marine Veteran who needs an escape from the things that are bothering him.
Iraq veteran of 2004 and 2005. Served 5 years in the Marines. Medically retired due to ptsd and leg injury. Gaming is a means to get away from the troubling thoughts and nightmares that plague me every day. Getting lost in a game makes me feel normal for a while. It's nice to be able to forget all my troubles and the craziness of the world for even a little while. Gaming is so much better than the pills they have me on which makes me feel like a zombie or feel nothing at all. I'm not sure what makes me more deserving over someone else but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Honestly, when we say 'deserving,' we mean those folks who may need something to help cheer them up or escape after a rough day. Veterans who may be struggling to get a console or who are having a hard time and could use something to cheer them. We mean most of our applicants. Whether we get something out to people has a lot more to do with supply than whether Veterans deserve it or not.
