It's not often that we get to send a Supply Crate to Veterans from other Allied forces, but when we get to, we're pretty excited about it. (Seriously, y'all, fill out our Supply Crate nomination form if you're from an Allied Military.) In this Supply Crate Update, the Birmingham Veterans Charity Branch of the Royal Engineers Association reached out to us to get a console so they could help younger Veterans feel comfortable with their older counterparts.

We are the Birmingham veterans Charity branch of the Royal Engineers Association in the UK. As vertebra are getting younger and the older veterans are making the long walk we find that the requirements to interact with newer veterans is different to the older ones. This package could go to helping us reach out to the younger ones. Our charity is important as we find that most assistance goes to ex service personnel who do not attend the groups or branches. So the more we can get attending could hopefully result in less care or stopping vets going into despair.

We appreciate the willingness to try something new to reach out to Veterans who may view an organization as something for older Vets. We have plenty of Veteran orgs and charities in the US who have recently struggled with bringing in newer, younger members because of a general disinterest around the activities they offer. Having a game console can help out with that, as it's a popular way to connect both older and younger Veterans through a shared activity.

Please find attached a photo that was taken with a few of our older members and the kit that you sent over.
Now our next goal is to start enticing some younger veterans/service soldiers into the fold by the addition of the games kit you sent over and other bits we have put together.

We hope the new console and games help! If you're a UK Veteran around the Birmingham Veterans Branch, why not check these guys out? Spread the word!
