Supply Crate – Avani

Former Navy Machinist Mate Avani played games during his downtime deployed on ships and now that he's a Veteran, requested a Supply Crate to help relieve stress the same way.

I have served on active duty on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN72 in Reactor Department as a Machinist Mate conventional, I did 2 deployments with the ship 2019 and 2022, I've done for this ship is qualified my shipmates on their level of knowledge, how to read an SPM, gage calibration for the department, grade people's CTE, worked on High Pressure Air Pump (critical). Playing video games on the ship helped me to relieve the stress and after standing watch. It's gotten me through 2 deployments while qualifying and doing maintenance.

Settling into life after service can be stressful for Veterans as we adjust. Active Military personnel are conditioned to handle themselves in high pressure situations, but after service, readjusting the brain so that it handles stress normally can be difficult. It helps to have something to aid in that reconditioning.
