Supply Crate – Adam

Army Veteran Adam reached out about receiving a Supply Crate because gaming got him through the tough times during his service and gets him through the tough days coping with PTSD.

I’m a retired U.S. Army Soldier, having honorably served until 2016 with multiple deployments to Iraq. During those challenging times, video games became much more than just entertainment—they were a way for me and my fellow Soldiers to stay connected, decompress, and find moments of joy in an otherwise high-stress environment. Gaming was—and still is—a vital coping tool for me, especially in managing my diagnosed PTSD. Since retiring, I’ve continued to use games as part of my healing process and as a way to stay engaged with others who share similar experiences. Receiving a Supply Crate wouldn’t just give me access to gear—it would reaffirm that my service and recovery journey are valued and supported. This crate would provide a powerful morale boost and further strengthen the role gaming plays in my well-being. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be considered.

Stack Up exists because our founder, Stephen Machuga enjoyed gaming in his down time and remembered how much video games helped him through the tough days. Just like Adam. Our mission exists to help Veterans and Active service members get that same comfort. We sent Adam a new Nintendo Switch with the hopes that he can keep gaming on the tough days.
