Stack-Up volunteers from the Hazlet, NJ and Queens, NY Stacks went to South Amboy, NJ to help host a fundraiser for veterans and for Stack-Up.Org, called “Stack-Up South Amboy”. It was an afternoon of music, food and fun.

Mike McCabe, a member of the Chive Gaming Chapter, along with Stack-Up Eastern Regional Director Stephanie Owens hosted the event at the South Stevens Pub. The fundraisers aim was to raise visibility and awareness of Stack-Up, as well as its mission to help veterans.

Among the many highlights of the evening were the Middlesex County Police and Fire Pipes and Drums. They are a well-known group, celebrating America and the patriotism of armed forces and first responders. They roared in their sounds of bag pipes and Irish passion, performing tribute to America, its warriors, and those that have fallen in the line of battle at home and abroad.

Stack-Up volunteers were there, selling red shirts raider packs and giving away wrist bands. The spirit of video games was present amongst the group, as they reminisced about games they have played and those due to release. Those in attendance were, from the Hazlet Stack; Stephanie Owens, William Owens, Roberto Nieves, Marco Venegas and his girlfriend Molly. Also from the Queens Stack were; Marc, Ethan and Asher Whinston.

We would like to thank the following people, without whom this event would not have happened:
