Hellraiser is one of the most iconic horror franchises in film history next to Halloween, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, and yet somehow there still hasn’t been a proper licensed game released yet for the series. Enter Hellraiser: Revival.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival catapults gamers into one of the most disturbing worlds ever created. Players will encounter the iconic Pinhead in the game, voiced by Doug Bradley, who portrayed the role in the first film and has been the fan-favorite definitive version of the character for four decades. Included in the experience will also be a new chapter in the series that features direct involvement from writer and filmmaker Clive Barker.

Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player game described as “a twisted nightmare, blending survival horror with a single-player, story-driven action experience. This is survival horror and action elevated to a new, terrifying extreme.”

“Discover the tale of Aidan, who must unlock the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box, to help his girlfriend from a hellish abyss. As Aidan, you’ll harness the box’s infernal abilities to survive your pact with the sinister Pinhead and battle against the twisted cult that worships him and the Cenobites. Conclusion

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have really stepped up to the plate here to deliver the best possible Hellraiser game for us to experience after all the years of failed attempts that never got released. The trailer looks excellent, the gameplay looks great, and the world they have created for us to experience is a perfect extension of the film series.
