It's been one hell of a Stack Up Summer! Our Stacks have kept busy with plenty of game nights, fundraising events, and Gen Con! That's right, our Indianapolis Stack hit Gen Con once again for a lot of fun with tabletop gaming. In today's feature of the Stacks, one of our newest Stacks in Fayetteville, North Carolina has gotten straight to doing stuff with a little help from our Fundraising Director, PerkyDaisy.
Here's what the Stacks got up to in July and August:
Fayetteville, NC | July 1, 2025
Fund-raising dinner and meetup
This fundraiser came together thanks to PerkyDaisy, who coordinated with the GM and got us set up with flyers and support. Stack members shared it on social, and 20% of meals mentioning Stack-Up will be donated. We also received our first Tiltify donation during the event, which was a win!
But we did hit a few roadblocks. A couple members couldn’t make it last-minute due to getting pulled for a detail at Bragg, and public turnout to mention stackup was lower than expected. It seems like more promo and visibility ahead of time could’ve made a big difference. Despite that, about a dozen people came through. Some stayed to eat, others just popped in to say hey and support. We still had great conversations about what we can improve for next time, including better outreach and maybe offering certificates of appreciation. We wrapped up around 8 when people started filtering out. We had a fun night of great ideas and onion rings.

This month's game day coincided with Goodman Games annual Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) Day. This is a yearly event from Goodman Games and friendly local game stores (FLGS) around the world to celebrate all the products from Goodman Games.
No major obstacles were experienced by the Indy Stack. Elf 'N Moon is a easy place to find open tables for gaming and has a large community of Veteran gamers and supporters that regularly show up. We had placed this event on the calendar back in January when we did our 6-month planning session for the Indy stack. The biggest hurdle we had to overcome was scheduling. July is always a tough month with summer vacations, travel, work, and every day life that comes us at. But in the end we were able to have a good amount of people showing out in support of StackUp and having a great day hanging out with friends.
The event was open to anyone who wanted to join, but was ultimately attended by Will (eSkilliam), Doug (NinjaPilot), Price, Harold, Odie, and myself (DJ, delirium).

This was our weekly game night! The Holloman Community Activity Center is bustling as we are averaging 5-8 players, which is a lot for board games. The TTRPG group is about the same, and the MTG group is almost up to 20! It's amazing to see so many healthy groups!
This week we were joined by myself, Latoya, Nate, Trevor, Carlos, Diane, and Rose brought her daughter Zoe! We even convinced our host, Alyssa, to join us tonight! Trevor brought out his copy of Blood on the Clocktower, as he quickly died and we tried to solve his murder. At first, we were confused, but I was able to use one of my abilities to find out the demon was Rose all along! We hung her from a tree until she was dead, and won the day! We tried a second time, and Rose was the demon again! This time, however, she won by killing off enough of us in hilarious ways!

The Indy Stack StackUp Event was GenCon 2025 - the best four days in gaming! This event was a 4 day non-stop gaming, networking, and hang out where we had several Stack's have people come out - Chicago, Indy, and Toledo at least!
GenCon isn't free, so getting people to attend does require a cost from participants, but it is very much worth attending and getting to experience the chaos, excitement, and pure energy. You will likely be exhausted when done after 4 days, but its always bittersweet when it ends.
In attendance was: DJ (Delirium) and his family, Daniel (eversoar) and family, Adam (knightmare96) and family, Price, Harold, Odie, Dave, Mike (AWanderingJew), another Dave, Perkinator and his wife.

We did a scavenger hunt on base with goodie-bags for the soldiers. Hid bags at different grids and posted hints on social media. Each bag contained stickers, a stackup info card and bracelet, as well as caffeine pouches, a copy of Gen Mattis book "Callsign Caos- Learning to Lead" (donated by David, an active duty Marine), a $50 Gamestop giftcard (Donated by stack members) and a handwritten note.

It's great to see our Stacks taking initiative, holding regular game nights, and doing local fundraising events while spreading the word about Stack Up. We never know who we will reach with these events and it's great to see community work on the ground. Thank you to the Stacks for showing the power of gaming offline and on.
