Over a year in the making, our friends over at the American Legion Post 46 and the American Legion’s Auxiliary have made a sizable contribution to Stack Up over the weekend!
For those of you who may or may not know what the American Legion’s Auxiliary is, the Auxiliary is an offshoot organization that is a literal “sister” program to the American Legion, which is listed on the website as “...the male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion. the male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion.”
While Stack Up was volunteering at the American Legion’s Fire Relief Distribution Center in Santa Monica on Saturday, we met with Martha and Jere Romano of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary and received a check for $12,500 to purchase gaming consoles for military units. That’s a lot of PlayStations and Xboxes we’ll be able to get into the hands of military members, thanks to the American Legion Auxiliary and their donation!
A big shout-out to the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for helping make this happen and supporting Stack Up in our mission of “making fun where there is none” by providing games and gaming gear to veterans in need.
