Supply Crates – Hundred Heroes # 34

We are still checking in with our Hundred Heroes Supply Crate recipients, and this one comes to us from an Air Force veteran. Read on to check out the full request from Tanekki as she recounts her thoughts on 9/11 and how that changed her service life.

I joined the military just for school and not knowing the real meaning of my life’s journey. I was the youngest of 8 and joined the military at 19 years of age. I was stationed in Ramstein, Germany.

Supply Crates

I was standing in customer service when I viewed the twin towers falling to the ground. I knew my leave was going to be canceled but my life changed after that.
Because Operation Enduring Freedom came fast and hard, my life changed, I lost friends. I was stuck in a surreal moment.
Now, I’m a disabled veteran living off a fixed income. I can not work due to the service-connected issues affecting my walking, standing, and caring for my 4 children age ranges from 13, 10, 5, and 4.
Christmas is coming up and mom covers my bills. I can’t afford the things my kids would like right now besides sports. My memories I have keeps me up at night. I would be a great candidate because it will provide my kids with some of their wants and I can finally see a smile on their faces.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Tanekki. Our guess is a lot of veterans these days can point to that moment in September when their lives changed forever.

We sent off a crate of gaming goodies Tanekki’s way thanks to our Hundred Heroes program and of course amazing Call To Arms streamers like MrChaggy providing awesome support so that we can accomplish missions like this. When Tanekki received the crate she sent back some great pics and some awesome words of thanks.

I’m so extremely happy and this has brightened my days. I now wake up and start playing video games again. To be able to share this moment with my kids is truly awesome. My oldest son stated, “Stack Up is Lit.” Lol…..the level of competition we have in this house is awesome.

When I was feeling like all hope was lost the package arrived. I knew it was someone out there that actually cared about our veterans. I took different pictures because I had to stop the tears and refocus….lol. I can’t express enough the level of love and happiness I have for your organization and sponsors.
This is beyond amazing!! Thank you!!

From everyone here at Stack Up, thank you Tanekki, for your sacrifice and service. We are glad to hear the games jollied up the holiday season around your home.

If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
