Supply Crate – Walter

Writer's picture: Stack UpStack Up

Walter served in the Army and had plenty of damage to his body as a result. He requested a Supply Crate as consoles have become too expensive with all the other costs he has to deal with.

I have served 11.5 years in the active-duty Army with two tours in Iraq. Many injuries were sustained in combat including mental health, spine, upper body, lower body, and extremities. To date I have had twelve surgeries and am slotted for maybe two more in the near future. In 2016-2017 I had a major battle with a cancer. To which I am currently in remission. There have been a lot of difficulties that my family and I have had to walk through given my physical and mental injuries. We do not have a system as these things are far too expensive for us. However, we do enjoy gaming when we get the opportunity to do so. Being afforded this supply crate of gaming equipment would be a huge blessing to my family of four! This could also allow for me to invite other combat wounded veterans to visit me and play games with us.

We get a lot of requests that are due to newer game consoles being too expensive for our Veterans. They're often dealing with the costs of their mental and physical health, from what they need to care for that, to fixed incomes, and more. Having a family also gets very expensive and it makes it hard to justify the one-time splurge when there are other costs and bills to keep in mind.

We sent Walter a new console and hope his family enjoys it, most of all, we hope it helps him connect with other Veterans.

Hey Ian!!!
The crate was just delivered!!! I am so excited and thankful! Thank you all so much!

You are very much welcome, Walter.

EMP1241 sponsored Walter's Supply Crate. Thank you to EMP1241 and everyone who supported him in his endeavors. He's currently in college so he's stated his streaming is sporadic for the time being. Check him out on Twitch if you're interested in Path of Exile or just looking for new streamers to watch.
