Supply Crate – Tanya

Army Veteran Tanya reached out about getting a Supply Crate because she's been dealing with PTSD and has trouble keeping her mind off of things.

I am a veteran who served 23yrs before being medical retired for a bulging disc and ptsd. I find it hard to concentrate at time and mind is always spinning. I find it hard to sleep at night. I feel this would help me channel my thoughts, be able to do something that bring joy. Force me to be active or involved in something other than laying in bed.

I served in Somalia, operation restore hope. At time I have nightmares, or just find myself in a sunken place looking for a way out or jump start.

Sometimes it feels impossible to keep one's mind from thinking about the things that have affected it. In Tanya's case, it sounds like she's been struggling for a while and she needs something that will help her shut her mind off for a few hours so that she can relax enough to sleep. We sent her a PlayStation 5 in the hopes it will help her do just that.
