Supply Crate – Michael

Writer: Stack UpStack Up

Michael served in the Army and enjoyed gaming while deployed. He requested a Supply Crate as he needed a new console and couldn't justify spending the cost of one when he has a family to provide for.

I was deployed in a pretty rough section, in a small JSS. We got split up from the main company once in country spent alot of time away from my closest battle buddies. Didn't have much time keep my mind off all the stuff going in besides a halfway running xbox 360 that would constantly fill with sand. I have continued to these day to use gaming as an escape from my ptsd, major despite disorder and substance abuse. It's helped me be 5 years sober and to help me maintain a small bit of myself after service. Until recently I always had a console or some type of gaming but with 2 small toddlers and the economy the way it is. I just can't put my family at risk to get back to gaming to help me cope

We appreciate that Michael wants to provide for his family, but we don't like that he has to give up something he enjoys and helps him cope in order to do so. We here at Stack Up believe Veterans shouldn't have to give up what makes them happy while making ends meet, so we sent Michael a Supply Crate.

If you could forward my appreication and just pure honor to warden_artemis (twitch.tv/warden_artemis) and the entire Stack Up Organization. In this difficult times in the world, sometimes as a veteran you feel used and forgotten when you leave the service. We know what we signed up for and understand we aren't owed anything for our service but still hope people understand the things we go through. It's not been the greatest path from leaving the service but I'm doing the best I can with my family. Gaming has always been a passion of mine, from playing MW2 in the barracks, to pouring sand out of xbox 360s hoping they work after the next mission lol. I'm hoping I can show my kids that all gaming isn't a waste of time as some see it. To see it as a way to connect, have fun and sometimes let out some emotions that you don't know how to express them. Thank you for allowing me this chance and with this opportunity.
SSG Frost Michael

We hope Michael and his kids have a great time with the console and build many great memories.

Thanks goes out to Warden_Artemis for sponsoring Michael's Supply Crate. Warden_Artemis is a Vtuber who plays a variety of games from Escape from Tarkov to Magic: The Gathering online. If you'd like to check out Warden_Artemis' streams, find her on Twitch.
