Supply Crate – Michael

Michael is a Navy Veteran and requested a Supply Crate because as a 100% P&T disabled Veteran, he wants to game and connect with other Veterans.

Thank you for what you do .i am a100 % disabled veteran p&t . I served aboard the uss independence cv-62 during the first gulf war. I’ve had my struggles here as a civilian wish I was back out to sea somewhere. I live by myself with my little dog and I have a lot of time in my hands I was hoping to get into gaming and connect with my buddies who also served. I don’t have anything now I just moved to Miami to re connect with family and get to the va hospital which is going fine now any way if there is something used I will gladly use it I think it will be fun . I’m thinking a pc but a console or games will work.

While we no longer send out PCs through our Vetrofits program due to the costs, we still send out game consoles through our Supply Crates program. They're getting more expensive, but that's why we fundraise all year to continue being able to send them out to Veterans like Michael.

We sent him a new PlayStation 5 and he sent us back a reply.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone involved in this incredible gift of happiness that has arrived today. At a time when our sister and brothers are in danger, this truly is a special moment. I’ve been grappling with anxiety and depression for a long time, and now I’m facing issues with my neck that may necessitate surgery. I reside with my beloved dog, Ginger, and I spend a significant amount of time at home. Now, I have the opportunity to join the gaming community, which will allow me to reconnect with family and my military buddies, whom I miss dearly. This gift will also help me maintain a positive mindset and provide me with something to look forward to every day and night. Thank you once again. Mike and Ginger
