Army Veteran Lashonda requested a Supply Crate because for her, gaming is like a therapy session when she's feeling rough.

Due to my combat ptsd, I spend a lot of time at home, playing certain games is a therapy session for me. It helps to clear my mind and keeps me from going into a deep depression.

We totally get that feeling and how much gaming can help a Veteran mentally. In fact, we have a whole page about the effects of gaming on mental health: Stackup.org/why-video-games. But don't just take our word for it, we also have a ton of Supply Crate updates from Veterans like Lashonda about how much gaming has helped them.

I’d like to thank PoisonHearrt for donating the PS5 and games to me. As a veteran living with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, managing stress and emotional balance can be challenging. Since receiving the PS5, I have been able to use gaming as a healthy coping outlet. That helps reduce stress levels and provides a structured way to decompress after difficult days. The PS5 has helped me feel less isolated. Being able to connect with others through gaming in a comfortable and controlled environment has supported my need for safe social interaction, which is important in managing anxiety. This gift is more than entertainment; it has become a valuable therapeutic tool in supporting my overall mental health and well-being. I am truly grateful for your generosity and for the continued support you show to veterans like myself.
With sincere appreciation,
Lashonda

Thank you very much, Lashonda, and we hope you get plenty of good days out of playing on your new PS5.
