Navy Veteran Isaac requested a Supply Crate because gaming helped him through his Military service and after, but the latest consoles are out of reach for him financially.
Dear Stack Up Team,------My name is Issac, and I’m a combat veteran from the Iraqi War. My journey has been filled with challenges, from battling PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder to working through addiction. Yet, through it all, I’ve found moments of resilience and connection that keep me moving forward.------During my service, the constant stress of a combat zone left a lasting impact on my mental health. Transitioning to civilian life has been a difficult road, and staying motivated remains a daily challenge. One thing that’s always helped me is gaming. Back in the day, my best friend and I would spend hours playing Call of Duty online. Those late-night matches weren’t just games—they were lifelines, bringing us camaraderie and support even after our military service ended. Unfortunately, when the PS5 came out, financial struggles and family events meant I couldn’t keep up. It’s been years since we’ve played together, and I deeply miss that connection.------This past year has been particularly tough. I recently completed rehab to address my struggles with alcohol. It’s been a hard-fought journey, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. My wife has been my unwavering support through it all, standing by me on my worst days. Together with our lively dog and five quirky cats, we’re rebuilding a life of hope and stability.------Winter is especially hard for me. Being stuck inside amplifies feelings of isolation and depression. While I enjoy playing Fallout, I often wish I could jump online and reconnect with my friend. Gaming has always been more than a hobby—it’s a way to combat loneliness, boost my mood, and stay social, even when I’m physically isolated.------A Supply Crate would mean more than just games or a console. It would be a bridge back to the connections I’ve lost, a way to rekindle friendships, and a tool to help me stay motivated during these tough months. It would bring joy, hope, and a sense of belonging when I need it most.------Thank you for considering my story. Your program is an incredible support for veterans like me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my journey.------Sincerely,---Issac

We understand how much being able to game can really help a Veteran through a tough time. Those game nights with buddies really make a difference in morale. Through our Supply Crates program, Stack Up helps Veterans like Isaac overcome financial barriers that keep him from being able to enjoy the latest games.

I have received the supply crate! Holy smokes this was next level. I opened it expecting something cool, but getting a PS5 and all the extras? Unreal. Seriously, thank you!
I’ve been pretty isolated dealing with disability stuff, and gaming was one of those things that just kind of faded away. But now I’ve got a real reason and the gear to get back into it. I’m already planning to game with my best friend again, which we haven’t done in way too long.
And my wife saw a game and actually said she’d play it with me. I had to double-check that I heard that right. That was pretty cool.
This isn’t just about fun—it’s a real boost for my mental health, giving me a break and a way to reconnect. Even better, this will ripple out to my group. Whether it’s gaming with fellow vets or meeting new gamer friends it opens the door for more connection. I can't wait to team up online again, and this crate makes that possible.
This has giving me something to look forward to and reminded me that I’m not totally out of the loop. I really appreciate what Stack Up does, this stuff makes a difference.
Thanks again to Stack Up and to the gaming community,
We're glad to see the console will be put to good use! Have fun gaming with friends and your wife, Isaac.
