Cory's Military service left him with medical and mental health disabilities that make it hard for him get out and about and socialize. He wanted a new console so he could cope as he works towards a better life despite all of it.
Today, I currently struggle with many medical and mental health disabilities directly correlated to my time and service. Over the past two years, I have had to undergo surgeries in both of my feet as well as leaves of absence for medical and mental health reasons. My road to recovery has not been perfect and sometimes my mental health takes me to dark places which can lead to isolation due to my diagnosis. The current economic situation, along with medical procedures that could not be put off, have left me consistently behind without auto insurance and behind on my car payment. Yet, I am still attempting to push through and strive to do better for myself and my children. The disabilities that I struggle with, I approach head on with weekly therapy support groups and a support network of people that I trust, who have my best interests in mind at all times. However, even with all the support, my financial situation is not projected to change for the better in the near future without assistance. I am also preparing to start my master's degree in social work, and knowing the stress of full-time work and school, along with rental needs and transportation, my fear keeps attempting to creep in and tells me I am not worth my efforts. However, the intense therapy that I have attended has taught me to challenge these false beliefs and not act based on those emotions. Some days, I just keep getting up and asking for help when I need it. Most days, I can show up for myself as well as have some left over for my clients.
Economic situations are one of the biggest reasons people reach out to us for Supply Crates. The costs of living often leave our Veterans with very little to put towards buying today's consoles. Thanks to those who fundraise, we're able to buy up some consoles to send out to Veterans like Cory who could really use it for coping with their mental and physical health.
Ian, I can't thank you and the Stack Up family enough for your wonderful gift! I have attached some photos. And once I get it all set up in the next couple days, I will give you a call or set up a time to talk for those game codes. I am in the middle of a semester in my masters currently and I have to have a root canal today, unfortunately UGG. Thank you thank you again and Semper Fi
Cory
We hope Corry's root canal went well and that he is doing fine in pursuit of his Master's. We're rooting for him.

First Nation Group sponsored Cory's Supply Crate. First Nation Group is a medical equipment supplier who has been supporting Stack Up for a couple of years now and we're grateful for their support.
