Army Veteran Clarissa dropped in a request for a Supply Crate because she wanted a console to help herself get into gaming and to share an activity with her kids who are also getting into gaming.

Good (insert the time you're reading this) very late pm for me. Yes my name is Clarissa and I am a Army veteran. I was at an scuba diving group for veterans tonight and we shared many stories. It is something about when you get around a group of veterans you just feel so AT EASE. Your organization was brought up in conversation and I was thinking well I served 8 years but never been deployed so most times these things are for combat veterans and he was like nope it's for all veterans and current service. So I was like why not me. So you ask why me. When I was stationed at Fort Gordon GA everyone used to go to a gaming facility right behind our barracks and I was not welcomed as it was not fun for me seeing that I have no idea how to play any of the games. Growing up one christmas between 4 siblings we all shared a nintendo with the "Duck Hunt" (in the 90's) and wrestling games because money was scarce and having to share well lets just say it wasn't fair sharing. So being only 18 at this time I couldn't afford things of the such. As I grew older I start to be able to afford me and play the games during the down time as being a single lady I had time on my hand. Fast forward to today I mostly play games on my phone because it easily accessible and I don't have to get out of bed to do so but the problem there is they always want your money and I'm not buying. Due to the screen size I always get frustrated with how small it is and I give up. Now that I have children I had to tap back into that side of me because now too they love playing games during their down time. I was always into the dance games to have a reason to say you know I need to sleep because now I have no energy. I said of all of that to say I love to keep my mind working being that I am TPD I am mostly home or taking care of the kids. A supply crate would give me a reason to get out of bed, a better way to stay active, connect with others, keep my brain fresh, more bonding time with me and my little ones. They're always wanting to play a games and sometimes I just don't have the energy to do so. I know this would be a stepping start into something great. And I can go into gaming facilities and now know so much more than before.

Duck Hunt is a classic. As someone who came from a large family, totally get why having to share a console with siblings was rough for Clarissa. Thankfully now, she's an adult and she'll be an adult with her own console.

Thank you so much to Stack Up and the generous donors for blessing me with a brand new Nintendo Switch and ten games today. This gift has already brought so much joy, laughter, and comfort into our home. It gives me a fun and positive way to relax, de-stress, and reset my mind, especially during moments when I feel overwhelmed, disassociated, or emotionally heavy. Even more meaningful, it has created a special way for me to connect and bond with my children, turning ordinary moments into shared fun and memories. I am truly grateful for this kindness. It means more than you know and has brought genuine happiness into my life. 🎮💛✨

Thank you for the many kind words and for the great photos, Clarissa, and we hope you get plenty of enjoyment out of your new Nintendo Switch.
