The cyberpunk genre is all the rage these days, from Cloud Punk to Ghostrunner to Danger Scavenger. it's a genre bursting with ideas of a plausible future, one where humans enhance their bodies through genetics and cybernetics and use science to better the world around them. Joining the ever-growing list of highly anticipated cyberpunk titles comes Foreclosed, an action shooter cyberpunk adventure that takes inspirations from the world of graphic novels.
Foreclosed is a narrative-driven adventure greatly inspired by the visual and written works of Hard Boiled and Frank Miller novels, but also inspired by the narratives of Deus Ex and Max Payne. In a world of neon lights and flying cars, players must become more human than human, maxing out their cybernetic implants and expanding their mind.
Merge Games and Antab Studio made the announcement of Foreclosed during PAX Online. To celebrate, they have unveiled a deep-dive video detailing the game's style and mechanics, as well as how Foreclosed distinguishes itself in the cyberpunk genre.
Foreclosed is set for launch on next-gen systems in 2021.
