Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has been released today! This online co-op game drops four players, taking on the role of Colonial Marines, into the Aliens universe in a fight for survival. Players will face hordes of Xenomorphs as they navigate from room to room, clearing out hostile forces.
Squad Up and Shoot 'Em Down
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 expands squads from 3 co-op players to 4 while introducing deeper team-based mechanics that encourage team coordination. Classes have been improved, with new classes introducing more playstyles and abilities for more strategic squad class compositions.
The classes that will be available in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 include:
Marauder - a heavy class improved from the Demolisher class of the first Aliens: Fireteam Elite game. Players using this class will have access to a heavy weapon, a rifle, and shoulder-mounted kits that will surely make this game a blast for those who love to bash and rampage their way through enemies.
Duelist - comparable to AFE's Gunner, this class is built for mobility and extended targeting. This class is a great fit for those players who enjoy a playstyle focused on gunning and grenading their way through enemies.
Machinist - formerly the Technician, this class is focused on a more offensive tech kit. Machinists have access to energy weapons, turrets, drones, and plenty of strategic tools for players who love to outsmart their enemies.
Hunter - once the Lancer role, Hunters are built around weak-point targeting and slowing down enemies through strategic use of weapons that cause cryo, particle, bolt damage, and more. This is a great class in combination with the others to weaken enemies for extermination.
Medic - what is a strategic co-op class system without a medic class? Medics don't only revive and heal; they can also buff other players and poison enemies. If you're looking to run support for your friends, this is the class for you!
Specialist - finally, this class is for those who want to combine different elements of the other classes. Sometimes facing the swarm requires a unique combination of abilities that can't be fulfilled by choosing one class. This unique class will allow players to mix it up and fill the needs of their squads.
Face the Hordes
AFE2 includes dedicated Horde maps at launch. Test your mettle by battling your way through an onslaught of Xenomorphs in wave after wave. Each wave gets harder and harder, but players who can survive longer will get increasingly valuable rewards.
