Dustin served in the U.S. Coast Guard and requested and received one of the PC Vetrofit Crates Stack Up sent out as part of our 10th birthday celebration. Dustin has long struggled with his mental health post-service after being diagnosed with PTSD and other medical conditions. For him, a PC is a great help in that not only will he be able to game with it, but use it professionally.
I joined the USCG in 2003 and was quickly attached to Port Security Unit 309 in Port Clinton, OH. With my unit, I was deployed to humanitarian relief efforts for Hurricane's Katrina and Rita, and also to the Middle East in support of OIF. When I returned home, I was diagnosed with PTSD along with other medical conditions (Sarcoidosis, etc.) which unfortunately brought my Coast Guard career to a quick end. On the Civilian side, I have a loving wife and six wonderful children. I believe that I am an ideal candidate for a PC Vetrofit crate because I know all too well the benefit of connectivity has to those with disabilities such as mine. Not only can it benefit me professionally, but also assist with my healing process.

Dustin is a member of Stack Up's Discord community and has previously volunteered with Stack Up. We're glad we could help him out. If you'd like to hear his story as it was read out by RainmanGames during our Call to Arms X LIVE event, you can hear it below.
Dustin did not send us a message in his reply, but he did send a couple of photos upon receiving his PC.
Dustin's PC Vetrofit was sponsored by Jester1147. Jester is an Air Force Veteran himself who has been streaming for years and even worked on the Stack Up Influencer Relations Team, helping others get set up to stream and fundraise with us. He mixes it up between Minecraft and Call of Duty when streaming on his Twitch channel.

We're ready to go with our Call to Arms 2026 campaign. Are you ready to join Stack Up in bettering Veteran mental health through the power of gaming? Get started by hitting the button below and signing up to fundraise.
