Battlefront II – John Boyega Guides You Through the Chaos of Star Wars

EA and DICE released a trailer this week, running down the features of their highly ambitious sci-fi shooter, Star Wars Battlefront II, the sequel to 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront. Actor John Boyega, who portrayed heroic defector, Finn, in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is shown running down the features of the sequel, which arguably bigger, badder, and better than its predecessor.

When the first BAttlefront was launched, it received a solid degree of acclaim in the short term, with players and critics praising the production values such as presentation, and its gameplay. However, the content seemed to be rather light, with a lack of single-player campaign, lack of multiplayer modes, and most infamously, the lack of space battles that were very present in 2005’s Star Wars Battlefront II. For the 2017 Battlefront II, the team at DICE seem to have heard much of the criticisms and have gone to great lengths to have them addressed.

Battlefront II

Star Wars BAttlefront II will feature a brand new, untold story within the canonical Star Wars Universe. Players will take the role of Iden Versaio, Commander of Inferno Squad, a special operations group within the Galactic Empire that is tasked with the most dangerous and most important missions. Your story begins at the end of the Empire, as the second Death Star is destroyed during the events of Star Wars: Return of The Jedi. Players will carry out the Emperor’s final command in a last-resort bid to destroy The Rebellion.

When the single player is done, players will have a bevy of multiplayer modes to play. Battlefront II features nearly triple the planets, heroes, and vehicles for players to enjoy. Players will be able to choose their preferred class and take to the battlefield for dominance and Galactic Conquest. Most excitingly, Star Wars Battlefront II will encompass the entire Star Wars saga, including the prequel trilogy, the original trilogy, and the brand new “Rey” saga that encompasses Star Wars: The Force AWakens and the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Star Wars: Rogue One will also be featured in the game. Finally, the public Beta is now live for PlayStation 4 owners looking to warm-up to the upcoming action.

Star Wars Battlefront II drops November 17th, 2017.
