Black Skylands is an open-world-action adventure in a newly created skypunk genre and will be available on the Epic Games Store, GOG.com, and Steam for $19.99 USD (with a 10% discount during launch).
Long ago, the Earth was turned into islands floating in the air, thousands of them. For a time, the people of Aspya knew peace, but this peace wasn’t to last and eventually came to an end.
You begin your journey as Eva, and you are a daughter to the Earners. You and your homeland face a massive and relentless struggle against the Swarm after a scientific discovery goes wrong. The Swarm is a terrifying species and a stranger to both mercy and remorse.
As Eva, you are tasked with stopping the Swarm and standing up to the Falcons, led by a usurper and tyrant, Kain, who exchanged power for protection in the Earners’ lands, only to become a threat and menace himself.
Black Skylands will allow you to:
Fight not only in the skies but also on land, combining ground and aerial combat with a small arsenal of weapons along with a grappling hook that can be used to throw enemies into the abyss.
Customize your weapons and your vessel to best suit your playstyle. Choose between heavy and high capacity or small and maneuverable and enhance your firearms with special abilities and mods.
Protect, build and expand your aerial base to make it impregnable and invulnerable. Gather resources to build new facilities aboard your Fathership. Utilize the Workshop to acquire upgrades for weapons and airships and the Factory to process resources, and the Laboratory to create powerful artifacts. Ranches and Gardens allow you to produce crops to feed your people.
Capture territories and craft alliances to clear occupied lands that will allow you to expand and gain access to new features, characters, research, and resources.
Explore the open world and a sky full of floatings lands with treasures and secrets abound. You will come across urban jungles, snowy lands, farms, forests, and last but not least, the Black Skylands themselves. Discover their secrets and unleash the powers behind them.
